The Opportunity
As an Intermediate Civil Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the design and delivery of civil infrastructure and land development projects. You’ll work closely with senior engineers and project managers while gaining exposure across all phases of project delivery.
This is a role for someone who wants to grow technically, take on responsibility, and build toward a Senior Engineer position.
What You’ll Do
- Support the design of site servicing, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and roadworks
- Perform engineering calculations and technical analysis for civil infrastructure projects
- Prepare detailed design drawings and documentation using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Assist with engineering reports, design briefs, and municipal approval submissions
- Participate in site visits, field reviews, and construction support activities
- Respond to contractor inquiries and assist with shop drawing reviews during construction
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery
- Ensure designs meet municipal, provincial, and federal standards
- Contribute to internal QA/QC processes and continuous improvement
- Support proposal development and technical input for new project pursuits
- Mentor junior team members where appropriate
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- P.Eng. designation (or eligible for registration in BC or Ontario)
- 4–7 years of experience in civil design within a consulting environment
- Strong experience in land development and municipal infrastructure projects
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D (StormCAD, WaterCAD, HEC-RAS considered assets)
- Familiarity with Canadian design standards and municipal approval processes
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a collaborative team
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to attend site visits as required
