Role Description
We are seeking a Contract Industrial Maintenance Technician — Foundry Equipment to support maintenance and repair work in a foundry environment.
This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining presses, production equipment, and related foundry machinery. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, supporting equipment uptime, and following all safety and compliance requirements.
The technician may also assist with maintenance documentation, preventive maintenance planning, and coordination with plant personnel or other team members.
This is a contract position with on-site work required at customer locations.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Maintain and repair presses, foundry equipment, and related production machinery
Diagnose equipment failures and recommend corrective actions
Perform preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections
Read and interpret manuals, schematics, prints, and technical drawings
Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements
Document work performed, issues found, and recommended repairs
Work with plant staff and team members to reduce downtime and improve reliability
Support preventive maintenance planning and equipment documentation when needed
Qualifications
Experience in industrial maintenance, machine repair, or plant maintenance
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience working with presses, foundry equipment, or heavy industrial machinery preferred
Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical drawings
Familiarity with industrial tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment
Understanding of workplace safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures
Good problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Relevant certifications in industrial maintenance, electrical, welding, hydraulics, or related fields are a plus
Foundry experience is strongly preferred
