As we continue to expand our footprint in Western Canada, we are seeking a results-driven Business Development Director to lead strategic growth initiatives across the region within the fleet realm.
Position Summary
The Business Development Director – Western Canada is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth across Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. This senior role focuses on identifying new market opportunities, developing key customer relationships, and expanding strategic accounts within the trucking and industrial parts sector.
This position is based in Edmonton or Calgary and requires regular travel throughout Western Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a regional business development strategy aligned with national growth objectives
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with fleet operators, OEMs, distributors, and industrial customers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and strategic partners
- Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, and long-term supply agreements
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and product teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform strategy
- Achieve and exceed revenue and gross profit targets
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
- Provide accurate forecasting and regular performance reporting to senior leadership
Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of progressive experience in business development or senior sales roles
- Strong background in trucking, industrial parts, heavy-duty aftermarket, or related industries
- Proven track record of driving growth and profitability in a multi-province territory
- Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills
- Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability
- Ability to travel frequently throughout Western Canada
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA considered an asset)
