Senior ERP Application Consultant (Acumatica)
Overview
The Senior ERP Application Consultant (Acumatica) is responsible for delivering end-to-end ERP implementations, including installation, configuration, training, support, and project management. This role also involves business process analysis and optimization to help clients improve operational performance and achieve strategic goals.
In addition, the consultant supports pre-sales activities such as client discovery, solution design, demo development, and proposal creation. This role requires strong industry expertise, the ability to assess client challenges, and the capability to deliver high-value solutions.
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the President.
Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery & Implementation
- Lead ERP implementations, including installation, configuration, testing, and deployment
- Analyze client business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements
- Develop solution designs, test plans, and deployment strategies
- Provide end-user training (onsite and remote)
- Deliver post-implementation support and troubleshooting
- Perform system upgrades and validate new releases
Project Management
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Manage stakeholder expectations, including C-suite engagement
- Maintain accurate time tracking and meet billing/revenue targets
Pre-Sales & Solution Consulting
- Support sales efforts through discovery sessions and solution design
- Conduct product demonstrations tailored to client needs
- Develop demo environments and proof-of-concept solutions
- Assist with scope definition and proposal development
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
- Stay current with Acumatica features, updates, and certifications
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues
- Follow company policies, procedures, and best practices
- Deliver exceptional client service and maintain strong relationships
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5–10+ years of ERP implementation experience (Acumatica strongly preferred)
- Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments preferred
- Strong understanding of business processes across finance, supply chain, or manufacturing
Core Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills (technical and non-technical audiences)
- Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including executives
- Strong project management and time management skills
- Financial and operational reporting knowledge
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Acumatica preferred)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with reporting tools and business metrics
Work Environment & Travel
- Approximately 30% travel required
- Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed
- Combination of office, remote, and client-site work environments
- Must be able to travel via commercial airlines
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
