Tooling Re-Work Technician - Press Operator
Permanent placement $22/hr.
6 am - 2.30 pm M-F.
Position Overview (Description)
Ability to operate various machines and equipment including but not limited to Cylindrical
grinders, surface grinders, bridge ports, bench grinders, induction unit, Gas torch, belt sander
and sandblaster.
Major Areas of Responsibility –
● Rework tools per process sheet specification.
● Prioritize work load by following weekly color-coding system.
● Machine Maintenance.
Primary Objectives –
● Meet or exceed quality standards and estimated labor.
● Limit scrap rate.
Specific Responsibilities of the position –
Maintain your equipment and keep your area clean and organized.
There are five main processes within the tooling rework department, incoming
inspection, disassemble clean and detach, gluing, OD grinding and final inspection.
Follow all procedures and work instruction specific to the process WI-TL-001, WI-TL-
002, WI-TL-003, WI-TL-004, WI-TL-005, WI-TL-006, WI-TL-007, WI-TL-007, WI-TL-008
Required Skills and Abilities –
● Operate equipment.
● Print reading.
● Measuring equipment, able to use and understand dial indicators, calipers, micrometers,
depth micrometer.
● In process inspection, the ability to hold 0.010 tolerances on taper and roundness per
process sheet.
Position Overview (Description)
Verify in process work orders, mixing and cup filling, setting sinter press parameters, mold
assemble, packing of powder and in process inspection.
Major Areas of Responsibility –
● Sintering in process work orders to print specification.
● Prioritize work load by following weekly work in process spread sheet or due dates.
● Machine Maintenance.
Primary Objectives –
● Meet or exceed estimated labor per item.
● Limit scrap rate.
Specific Responsibilities of the position –
Abrasive tolerance`s are specified on all in process work orders for width, height,
length, chamfers and these dimension must be meet.
In process spread sheet must be followed closely to assure on time delivery.
Maintain your equipment and keep your area clean and organized.
